Bandage Aftercare

Functionality You Will Love

01

Bandages

After your tattoo, we'll apply a breathable bandage called Derm Shield. Your bandage will stay on for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, wash your tattoo with an antibacterial or unscented soap, then pat it dry with a paper towel.

You'll also receive a second bandage to apply after the 24 hours, which will stay on for an additional 5 days. You can shower with the bandage on- just make sure not to soak it (no baths, swimming, saunas, etc.)

02

Moisturize

After the 5 days are up with both bandages, wash it again with an antibacterial or unscented soap. Then, moisturize your tattoo with an unscented lotion for the next couple of weeks as it heals.

03

No sweating, soaking, sun

For the next 2-3 weeks after your tattoo, please refrain from swimming, sweating, saunas, jacuzzis, working out, and sun. The most important thing is to keep it clean and dry as it heals.

04

Next few weeks

For the next 2-3 weeks after your tattoo, please refrain from swimming, sweating, saunas, jacuzzis, working out, and sun. The most important thing is to keep it clean and dry as it heals.

Alternative Aftercare

If you have an allergic reaction to the bandage, please remove it immediately. Instead, wash it twice a day with antibacterial soap, pat it completely dry with a paper towel and apply a THIN layer of Aquaphor. Repeat this for about a week. After one week, you can start moisturizing with an unscented lotion.  In about a month, you can start applying sunscreen when you're out.
